What is Love?
What is love? That is such a simple question, yet a complex one. Thinking about it, we sometimes mistake love with fascination. Fascination is wanting to manipulate the situation by focusing all your attention on a specific outcome whereas love is effortless. I will try my best to describe the true definition of love.
Love is this immense feeling of admiration and profound willingness to care for the well-being of a certain person. Those feelings are often reciprocated, but not always. Caring vastly about the person that we adore, warms the heart with so much joy and an indescribable happiness. Love is kind and never selfish meaning you would be willing to sacrifice yourself by putting your needs last.
Mind you, love can also be an action. What makes it an action is when they go out of their ways to do little things for you. Doing the mundane things to make you feel especial and appreciated. Things that appear like nothing from a far, but to you are deeply meaningful. Like, listening to you when you have something to complain about. Or the simple fact of listing you talk. Also, being there when you are in need of a good shoulder to cry. It is about waking up before you to make you breakfast because he knows you are always running late and would not have time.
There are many different ways to describe love. Over eight million people roaming this earth, so the definition can vary greatly. My question to you is what is love to you?
