Happy New Year!!! May 2018 be very prosperous, generous and all of your wishes come true.
2017 has gone to the land of never to return. It was a roller coaster of a year for sure, but also full of acknowledgment. With the lessons learned I’m gradually finding my true self. 2018 will be an amazing year, I can sense it!
Some lessons I learned in 2017 are:
- Stop pleasing everybody: Nothing will ever be good enough no matter what you do to accommodate others. The more pleasing you are, the more other will demand from you. Also, learning to say no come with the territory. At times we want to say no but feels obligated to say yes when we feel like we owe something to that person.
- Ignore criticism: It is human nature to judge and criticize what doesn’t make sense, so it is crucial to disregard to criticism to live a happy life. Good criticism can be good as long as it is constructive criticism helping you improve and to grow as a person. But bad criticism is best to ignore as it can break you instead of building you up. If you feel good about what you’re doing, then keep on doing it because people will always be critical.
- Be selfish: It is okay to be selfish: to think of yourself first, to take time for yourself and to do the things that make you happy. Without knowing we become so involved with our daily routine that we often neglect taking care of ourselves. It is time to prioritize self-care.
