Stop Making Excuses for Him If He Does Any of These

Stop Making Excuses for Him!!!

  1. He only reaches out when it is convenient for him.
  2. Fails to give you an explanation for why he has been absent or distant.
  3. Does not make an effort to see you or spend time with you.
  4. Ghosts you midway through text conversations.
  5. Treats you like an option instead of the price.
  6. Gets offensive when you try to call him on his BS.
  7. Refuses to take accountability for his actions.
  8. Gaslights you into thinking you’re the problem when he is in fact the problem.
  9. Fails to acknowledge your feelings and thinks you are always overreacting.
  10. Never apologizes for his wrongdoings.

Girl, if any of these resonate with you. It’s time to exit the chat and keep walking forward! There are so many excuses you can make for someone until you start being the problem. ‘How can I be the problem?’ You might be asking. You’re the problem because you’re making unreasonable excuses for his inexcusable behavior. Looking for proof? Don’t worry, you have all the proof you need if you open your eyes wide enough and see what is right in front of you. You wouldn’t be asking yourself the questions that are lingering in your mind if you had certainty about his intentions. Real intentions are shown through actions, and not through inconsistency.

Stop making excuses for him! Excuses only enable him to continue acting the way he does. Automatically, he thinks, “Why should I have to change the way I act if she is going to forgive me?” Altering his behavior isn’t a valid option for him, especially when he knows you would turn a blind eye and keep pretending nothing happened.

The only person you would be hurting is yourself. Each time you make an excuse for him, you are disrespecting yourself. Disrespecting yourself because with your action you are showing him that you are willing to accept whatever he gives you. Don’t expect him to act differently if you can’t start showing yourself the respect you rightfully deserve.

The choice is yours:

1) Stop making excuses for him and see things for what they are.

2) Continue disrespecting yourself by making excuses for inexcusable behaviors.

Which one will you pick?
