It is a new year and with it comes the opportunity to reflect on how the last twelve months have been like. Are you content with what you have accomplished over the passed year? Or are you disappointed for not reaching your goals?
Whether or not you have accomplished everything you set out to, you should be proud of what the last twelve month has done for you.
One thing is for sure, which is you are not the same person that you were at the start of last year. During the past months, you have done and overcome things that the previous you wouldn’t have never envisioned. That is progress, right there!
A perfect example of this is the tale of the hare and the tortoise. Both animals were to race each other and instantly the hare thought he was going to win. The hare was so confident in his God given speed. Yet, he failed to consider the obstacles he would encountered along the way. He thought that his speed was more than enough to defeat the tortoise when it certainly wasn’t.
Like the hare, we can become so focused on achieving our goals and objectives. We fail to contemplate the necessary steps we are require to take in order to reach our predetermine destination. The hare represents our eagerness and strong desire to go where we think we ought to go without actually questioning whether it is the proper path to take.
I want you to be like the tortoise in 2025 and do not worry about reaching the finish line quickly. Instead, I encourage you to take the time to carefully analyze every obstacle you had to face and the many lessons you learned from them. Let’s face it, every obstacle or setback teaches us something that we had to learn in order to continue moving forward.
So, this year 2025, I want to tell you to keep continuing moving forward. Although, you might feel like you are moving slower than everyone else you are still advancing. Don’t get discourage and keep working toward your goals and aspirations. Remember that it is better to go slow and steady; than fast and impulsive.
