• Oscars 2018 Best Dressed

    Hi Loves,

Hollywood was dress to impress, Sunday, March 4, 2018.   Celebrities came together to celebrate the biggest night in Hollywood as well in fashion. At home, viewers anxiously waited to see their favorite celebrity walk through the red carpet to see what they were wearing and by who.

Let’s take a look at my favorite dresses of the Oscars’ red carpet.

    Paz Vega

The Spanish actress wore an incredible gown by Christopher Bu. What drew me to the dress was its unique structure and the red velvet cherry blossom print. It was strapless with mid-arm sleeves cascading down into a train. One would have never expected the checker print on the back of the dress and also on the inside of the train. Both set of prints complemented each other rather nicely in a surprising way.

Paz opted for a very simple makeup look enhancing her amazing facial features. She made the right choice by not wearing any jewelry, as it would have taken away from the cherry blossom print.

Jennifer looked stunning in a gold metallic sequin dress by Christian Dior. Although it was simple and classic, the gold metallic sequin fabric made the dress stand out. Her wavy 90s hair complemented the dress nicely giving the outfit a young and playful vibe. She had a simple smokey eye look and a nude-brown lipstick.

Jennifer Lawrence greatly enjoyed the Oscars, as she appeared smiling and having fun in every photo. Girl, tell me how you were able to climb the bleaches in a gown, in heels and while holding a glass of wine so gracefully? Need to know.

Zendaya looked like a Greek Goddess in a one-shoulder dark brown chiffon gown by Giambattista Valli. The lopsided neckline emphasized her collarbone while bringing attention to her gorgeous face. The gown was cinched at the waist, while a huge bell sleeve covered one arm. She kept her hair in a topknot and had a gold/brown makeup look. She looked absolutely stunning.

I want to know what was your favorite Oscars look. Comment below. 🙂

  • Premio Lo Nuestro 2018 Best Dressed

The night of February 22, 2018, was a night filled with Latin favor as Latinos came together to celebrate thirty years of Premio Lo Nuestro. The magenta carpet was the catwalk for some incredible looks. These looks were my favorite because they were so different and unique but yet classic and fashionable.

    Clarissa Molina

The instant I saw Clarissa I fell in love with her entire outfit. Personally, I think she was the best dressed of the night. Her dress was from the Venezuelan designer Alejandro Fajardo.   It was sexy and classic yet fashion forward at the same time. I especially love the red shoe and the bubble ponytail giving the outfit a playful twist.

    Natti Natasha

The Dominican rapper looked absolutely gorgeous in a navy and black velvet long sleeve dress. The dress was by Bao Tranchi. The navy mesh gave the dress an elegant look without compromising her sexy style that she is known for. It wasn’t something that we tend to see her in, but she owned it.

The Brazilian singer wore a conservative, gold floral print, short, long sleeve dark green dress. She opted for a simple gold makeup look with a topknot giving a JLo vibe. I love how she stepped out of her comfort zone by wearing something totally different from what we are used to see her in.

  • Floral Dress in Autumn

    Floral Dress in Autumn

Hope you guys are having a great day or night depending when you are reading this. Fall finally has arrived and so did the cool weather. However, that doesn’t mean we immediately have to pack up our summer dresses. Or does it?

I have to say, autumn is my favorite season, especially when it comes to fashion. The climate is ideal to continue to wear summer dresses, as it isn’t so cold yet. Transitioning any summer outfit into fall can be as simple as adding a jacket, a pair of boots/booties, and/or a scarf. They don’t only help keep warm but also make for great statement pieces. The important thing here is to never have to sacrifice style while trying to keep warm.

I paired the pink floral dress with simple black booties. The black booties were previously featured. I purchased them from Marshall last fall during one of those not-looking-to-buy-anything-trips. Those trips are the most dangerous to our wallet because we often tend to find stuff that we have been meaning to buy for a while but haven’t been able to for some unknown reason until that exact moment. Like a magic act, it magically appears right in front of our eyes exactly how we have wanted it. Even though we shouldn’t get it, we make the purchase. Our wallets are the ones who suffer.  Poor little wallets. Okay, Got off the tracks for a little bit :). Now back to the outfit. The dress is from the brand Lush and I got it at Century21’s end of the summer sale. To top it all off, I added a beige symmetrical patterns Armani Exchange jacket to keep me warm at night. Couldn’t find the exact jacket so I search for other similar jackets.

And remember to always be authentic!!

  • Romper to the Rescue

    Hi Loves,

    Smile you are great!

I can’t believe summer is coming to an end. Days are becoming shorter plus a cold breeze roams the air at night. I wish summer would last forever here on the East Coast, instead of just three months out of the twelve months. If you ask me, that’s not enough time to wear cute summer clothes.

I’m a sucker for silky and flowing clothes. Recently, rompers have become my obsession. Rompers are like Superman ready to the rescue! Lol. When you can’t put together an outfit even if your life depended on it, a romper is there to solve the problem. You can wear it with booties, sneakers or sandals, and be out of the door as easy as 1- 2- 3.

The short length romper I’m wearing is from Nordstrom Rack, which can be either dress up or down.  For the look, I decided to go for something in between casual and formal. The booties are from Century 21, which I got approximately two years ago on sale.  Both the romper and the booties complement each other nicely, both being from the pastels color family.
